Failing your way to success is a real thing. The important thing is to try and not give up.

We will all go to shows and not sell. We will all run a promotion and not get a single customer. And sometimes we will attempt a masterpiece painting that doesn't work out. Don't let these …

This is just a handy reminder to do something to invest in yourself. Being an artist means pouring out our creativity onto a canvas or on paper (or other surface), but that also means we need to take time to fill up once in a while.

Go for a walk in nature, indulge in a fancy meal, cook with a loved one, paint your nails, spend time with friends, read an inspirational book or listen to an amazing podcast, spend time on hobbies …

Since we all keep pictures of our artwork, here is a reminder! Remember to back up all the files on your devices, because they might have to go into the repair shop! (This may be personal experience talking)

I hope everyone is having a lovely day today! What are you guys working on at the moment?

Minis are just so much fun to make! This little fella is only 5x7 inches. How small have you painted? (I've gone as small as 3x3 inches!)

Seeing some of you guys working on portraits (and self portraits) reminded me of this self portrait I did about a year ago! I'm actually really proud of it, and it was more fun to make than I thought it would be. I encourage all of you guys to make a self portrait again when you have your own style, just to see how it turns out. You might be surprised by the results!
