May is ending.

These days, I have been feeling like I'm not good in painting. I'm also struggling to start new artworks.

I fear that I might be losing my drive.

Art has always been my safe place and the thought of it slowly slipping away is terrifying... I don't know how to get back on my feet.

Anyone here ever felt like this too?

How do I overcome this feeling?

This is my artwork submitted for the art competition - the theme was on the marine ecosystem, I chose coral bleaching & the destruction that human are causing.

Experimenting with plaster of paris & soft chalk pastels... It's sooo fun & therapeutic creating this background with my fingers..

This is my preparation for the artwork I'm preparing for a competition..

This is what I came up with after attending the ''50 ways to lay down paint'' by Eli Milan... I'm planning to create a reference using this as my background and coming up with a composition.

On a side note, I recently entered an art competition and I'm currently working on a piece for that. I am really excited about that!!!! 🤗🤗🤗

p.s the whites in the picture is brighter than they are in real life...I really need to practice my photography skills 😅

February has been the month of cyclones over here.. And the best way to stay inside warm & cozy has been to sketch, paint & watch anime...

(excluding the working from home hours🤣😅)

I'm at my happiest when I'm painting. It's like I can freely be me without a care of the world. Painting is my safe haven and like a warm blanket which I can wrap around and it immediately comforts me. ❤️❤️
