My Masculine Beauty contest entry, •A Man’s Heart”.
Masculine beauty for me is less about the physical beauty of a man but rather the strength of his character. Is he a good husband, father and neighbor? Is he above reproach? Does he make the world and his family better because of who he is? Do his actions reflect a beautiful heart? I choose this man for a lifetime.

Quit after two hours on this limited palette. Another not great effort. Just glad to be through with this section. I still have to paint my self portrait but I will come back to it soon.

I think glazing helped a bit and I hit the wolf with some Venetian red and Mars black which has helped a little .

Quick foreshortening sketches. Now to do the actual drawing. The hand bent toward me was hard.

White on white. Wishing for the fall season. I only had titanium white and warm white. I would have liked to have had radiant white. Though one pumpkin is a little different I feel I made them too similar in size. I welcome any other critiques. Thank you.

Yep, not posting the abstract pencil piece. First thing I have done since I started Mastery that truly was awful. 😝

Started with a few L doodles but then it took on a life of its own. I used to doodle non-sensical stuff in high school. My notebooks were always full. Thanks John DJ FREEZY J Milan for the chance to do it again. I only had one size pen, so there’s that.

My submission for the art club Figure It Out contest.
Breaking Barriers
Symbolic of humanity’s desire to remake themselves by breaking through emotional and physical barriers in an effort to achieve new heights. The contest required a full human figure depiction.
