Not loving this piece just yet and trying to decidewhete to take it...I am in the end of mixed media trying to figure out my process and voice. I actually love landscapes, nature, animals. I tried mixing some techniques, directional marks and thin to thick, acrylics then oils and prefer looser painting. It's definitely a journey of discovery.

First time handling gold leaf and I must say, it's very delicate and difficult especially for a newbie. I may have overdone it in this piece but it was a learning experience.

When I need to get into my R brain, I paint intuitively and quickly using liquid acrylics. So much fun.

Tackled the non objective abstract today...first ever and was astonished as to how many elements it requires to be " successful ". I really tried to follow the instructions but it was a tough one.

Collage assignment 22x30. There are lots of colored paper and some newspaper print in it but got a bit lost in the darker colors. I started out thinking, this is so messy, I don't think I'll like it to wow, I had to finish it all today! The possibilities are endless using this technique. Very fun assignment

Needed to create to decompress after a hectic work filled day but it was late and no time to get acrylics & oils out. Watercolors to the rescue...10-15 minute pieces, after supplies set up, are my go to

I've had such a tight schedule lately so quite a squeeze to get weekly assignments done. I didn't have stencils or fabric but I went ahead on the spray paint assignment and tried to get some texture and to add softness to the clouds.

I absolutely love using inks, liquid acrylics and watercolors to create art. It's so much fun to let the paint dance on the paper..the effect dependent on how, where I add or move water and paper.
